Kid's Page
Welcome to the part of our web site that's just for kids. There is something here for just about all ages. If you have a suggestion or comment, be sure to let us know. It's your web site!

Did you know that all over the world, kids have the same concerns? A new film maker traveled to many different countries and talked to kids of all ages, and came home with 700 hours of film and some great news. The top two concerns of children everywhere are the environment and animal rights. Kids, give yourself a big hand for being so caring and aware! For more information about these topics, go to PETA for Kids and Greenpeace.

Would you like to play a game?
You can if you have a java enabled browser (Netscape 4.61, Netscape 4.5, Netscape 4.06 and Internet Explorer 4.0). If you aren't sure, try it. The games may take a few minutes to load if you have a slower modem, so be patient.

Here are the games we have. We will be adding to them, so keep checking back:

Cool Cams:

How would you like to see parts of Africa live online? The Africam Web site features hidden cameras set up at different parks. You can see animals in the wild at the watering holes. The site also tells you about different places in Africa, a bit about African art, chat areas and much more. Check this out, it is way cool!

The San Diego Zoo now has a Panda Cam! Their new cub, named Hua Mei, is beginning to explore her surroundings. You can see her and read about the three adult pandas the zoo has.

Have you ever wondered what Times Square looks like right now? The Discovery channel has a live cam to let you take a peek at the site in New York. Forget the animals, watch the people!

What's going on at the Kennedy Space Center? Check out these live feeds from NASA.

Pet Tips

Have You Hugged Your Dog Today?
"Did you know that as many as 60 percent of all adult dogs are overweight or likely to get that way?

Every extra pound on a dog is proportionally greater than an extra pound on a human. For example, an extra five pounds on a dog that should ideally weigh 17 pounds is like adding 50 pounds to a person who should weigh 170. That's nearly 30 percent above their ideal weights!

Overweight dogs may be a higher risk for heart, respiratory and blood sugar level problems, skeletal stress and gastrointestinal disorders. Also, each pound of fat contains approximately 17 extra miles of blood vessels which blood must flow, an unnecessary burden for the heart."

Gretchen agrees with Doris. Trim and healthy dogs are happy dogs! I certainly try to watch my girlish figure!
