People—Richard Harris

John Goldthwait was followed by Richard Harris, who served the church from 1972-1975.  Richard’s time as minister was tumultuous, to say the least.  During his tenure, the Richmond County Commissioners voted to build the new fire station adjacent to our property.

Richard Harris was killed in a skiing accident several years later.
